Associate, Pre-Sales Operations

The successful Associate, Pre-Sales Operations applicant will be reporting to the Pre-Sales Operations Manager in a permanent full-time capacity.
As an Associate, Pre-Sales Operations, your areas of responsibilities will fall under the areas of ensuring operational excellence and hands-on working in the areas of: process improvement, bid pursuit support, and service ask triaging and actioning. Your time will be spent working with the Pre-Sales team, and multiple internal Appnovation departments spanning Services, Delivery and Sales, across multiple timezones.


Learn and Immerse
  • Gain a unique, all-encompassing perspective as to how a digital consultancy works and deeply understand the service offerings and partner ecosystem we have.
  • Be part of a critical, key team responsible for supporting and facilitating behind the scenes the pursuit of winning business for the company.
Triage, Run and Execute
  • Work with the Pre-Sales Operations Manager to lead and execute multiple Pre-Sales process improvement initiatives (ad-hoc and recurring) within the team and with other departments 
  • Help translate and triage the asks coming to the Pre-Sales team to service based on priority and urgency coming from multiple stakeholders in multiple regions.
Broadcast and Educate
  • Ensure that any updates or new Pre-Sales process improvements or updates to support tools that impact various department stakeholders are broadcasted. Provide education and training if needed to those stakeholders to ensure smooth adoption of the new/updated process or tool.
  • Always be thinking of ways to streamline processes to do things more efficiently, quickly.
Standardize, Operationalize and Organize
  • Creating/updating/retiring Pre-Sales process documentation as needed
  • Be a hands-on, tactical presence on the occasional bid pursuit to ensure the ownership and assignments of the Pre-Sales owned pieces are getting assigned, delegated, and meet defined deadlines. This may also involve reaching out to bid team members and subject matter experts from different disciplines and timezones to elicit, gather and organize/present information to complete the assignments yourself as well.
  • Ensure bid responses conform to Appnovation's corporate branding standards, formats, and messaging.

  • You have a customer service-oriented mindset, and ensuring requests are completed to the satisfaction of the requester.
Background and Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in the Pre-Sales, Sales Operations, Sales or Project coordinator areas--you’re accustomed to working on either internal or client-facing projects (or both)
  • 2+ years of experience working at a tech company or digital agency or digital consultancy
  • Demonstrating successful execution of various process improvement or similar initiatives to produce value and results to the business
  • You have an elementary level in understanding what Agile(Scrum) is and how sprints work

  • You have excellent client service skills to work collaboratively and cooperatively with all types of personalities and authority level in a team-oriented environment, across different departments and timezones (Vancouver, Montreal/Toronto, Europe, Hong Kong)
  • You are not afraid to put in the time required to drive real success and growth for our business.
  • Have a good sense of balancing and triaging requests based on various levels of priority and urgency, quickly.
  • A self-starter, unafraid to jump in and proactively get things done rather than react to getting it done last minute 
  • You have a pragmatic, can-do attitude, highly driven, motivated, and enthusiastic individual, and a sense of humor
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, and able to prioritize and complete simultaneous assignments, under tight deadlines, with medium to minimal supervision
  • A problem-solver, able to get to the core of the issue quickly to then start thinking about ways to resolve it.
Additional Skills
  • Proficient/advanced with Google Office (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Comfortable with working with messaging/video conferencing applications or equivalent (i.e. Slack, Zoom, Skype, etc.)
  • Able to search and find relevant information using advanced keyword search operators (i.e. Google search, Google Drive, Gmail, etc.). You can cut through the noise of information and find what you need, quickly
  • Staying abreast of current trends in business and technology and be driven to learn more; our business focus and offerings can and will change, so our team members must keep up as well
  • Have great instincts on knowing what looks good layout-wise when helping with organizing text and visual assets in a response
