Director, Business Development, Managed Services

East to Southeast US, East Coast
The Director, Business Development, Managed Services will partner with the General Manager, Managed Services (MS) and MS and regional team members to identify and secure new clients to enhance Appnovation’s Managed Services client portfolio. We are looking for a motivated and high energy sales professional whose background includes selling IT services for an early maturity, high growth IT and Digital services organization. You will have achieved an outstanding, measurable track record growing recurring revenue services business. You are a strategic “hunter,” passionate about understanding prospect’s business needs and building key client relationships. You desire a position with a high growth organization that is looking to move its Managed Services business to another level..

  • Work closely with the marketing function and partners function to establish successful support, channel and partner programs and to uncover MS opportunities.
  • Pursue, qualify and rapidly close new business Managed Services opportunities throughout North America
  • Be a leading source of customer, market and competitor information and influence Appnovation solution and services programs accordingly
  • Work within your existing network to identify new Managed Services growth opportunities. 
  • Effectively qualify opportunities before committing significant sales investment.              
  • Position Appnovation in key regional markets as a leader in the delivery of Application and Infrastructure Managed Services solutions
  • Effectively communicate Appnovation’s Managed Services value proposition to prospective clients.
  • Lead the development and delivery of proposals and presentations working with other Appnovation team members.
  • Partner with prospective clients to understand their business needs and objectives associated with each opportunity 
  • Report to General Manager, Managed Services on sales strategy execution and performance against growth targets.
  • 5+ years selling in the IT and Digital Managed Services and consulting services space
  • You are seen as someone with a great future ahead of you by clients and peers. 
  • You love to sell Services and you are a Hunter. 
  • You are looking for an opportunity to work with a High Growth full service Digital Consultancy organization in a breakout Sales role
  • You are located in the US East to Southeast (not New England and not NYC) and are able to travel throughout North America on a regular basis
  • You have already demonstrated an ability to close recurring revenue services deals and to exceed your sales performance targets.
  • Excel at using a consultative approach to understand potential client’s business challenges and opportunities and work with Appnovation team to develop compelling solutions to align to those needs
  • A passion to achieve and exceed your sales performance targets
  • Experience leading the development of successful RFP responses and presentations
  • Elite written and verbal communication, including business acumen and knowledge of general business structures in a variety of industries - you excel at opening client doors and having influential conversations with prospective client leaders/decision makers
  • Understanding of business outcomes that organizations seek from investment in Content Management Systems, eCommerce platforms and digital marketing
  • Passion and talent for collaboration with other team members when leading solutions development and prospect sales pitches.
  • Self-motivated, organized and energetic
