COORDINATOR, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT (PRE-SALES)
8- or 12-MONTH CO-OP OPPORTUNITY
 
Reporting to the Pre-Sales Operations Manager on the Business Development (Sales) team, you will be gaining a unique and dynamic perspective on how Pre-Sales opportunities support activities (i.e. lead qualification, opportunity management, proposal responses) and how they are conducted by the Business Development (Sales) team in order to win business.
 
You will have your fingers on the pulse of our partner channel to absorb knowledge about Appnovation and our partners’ products and services. Through collaboration with various departments at Appnovation (particularly the Technology team), you will help to enable the Business Development (Sales) team to drive the growth of our business.


YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE
  • Assist in the processing and setup of Pre-Sales opportunities.   
  • Work with the Business Development (Sales) team and opportunity bid teams to search for and retrieve existing Pre-Sales assets and write-ups to strengthen proposal response deliverables.
  • Assist the Pre-Sales Operations Manager in the identification, creation and addition of Pre-Sales assets and materials for archiving, finding and sharing when the situation calls upon it.
  • Research, write up, and summarize short documents or presentations on any potential variety of topics from new emerging trends in technology, competitive analysis in proposals.
  • Collaborate with Business Development and other teams (Marketing, Services, Managed Services) in identifying the framework and process by which new and current Pre-Sales materials are identified or created, organized and made easily searchable for opportunity bid teams.
  • Create, update, manage, and deliver existing materials for internal training of Business Development and Services teams on the Pre-Sales process.
  • Analyze ways to continuously improve the Pre-Sales process.
 
WHAT YOU HAVE
  • Currently completing a Business Undergraduate Program or Diploma.
  • Keen interest in the area of sales opportunity pursuit and the effort and activities behind winning business.
  • A drive for learning about interesting products and services based on web and open technologies.
  • A strong interest in analyzing information and making sense of the picture from a macro and micro level.
  • Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong work ethic and proven history of delivering world-class materials and presentations.
  • Does not take no for an answer when running into roadblocks.
  • Excellent at time management—understanding the difference between important and urgent tasks is key.
  • Conscientious, detail-oriented and able to work both smartly and efficiently.
  • Excellent organization, written and communication skills.
 
BONUS POINTS
  • Some experience with major CRMs (e.g. SugarCRM, NetSuite, Salesforce.com).
  • Above-average proficiency with GDocs/Word, Sheets/Excel and Slides/PowerPoint.

The Coordinator, Business Development (Pre-Sales) role is a part of Appnovation Technologies Co-op Program. This position is open to students who are registered in a Canadian University or College program, have completed a minimum of one year of their degree or diploma, and are returning to full-time study upon the completion of their work term.
