The Senior Talent Management Specialist - Corporate reports directly to the Executive Vice President of Talent & Culture as part of the corporate Talent Management team and will contribute to the overall human resources management of Appnovation’s corporate and regions including Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific.  This includes overall in-market general human resources management (excluding talent acquisition), company culture building and employee engagement and training.
 
The Senior Talent Management Specialist will also provide day-to-day support to the daily operations of the corporate “HR” team, thereby contributing to the efficient and professional delivery of HR programs, processes and services. This role will provide an opportunity for the right candidate to be both innovative and hands-on with several progressive and interesting HR projects including, but not limited to the company’s Career Progression Portal for career planning, a new performance management program and implementation of a new HRIS.  
 
YOU WILL HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO
  • Develop, implement and coordinate policies and programs encompassing all aspects of HR management, including employment, employee engagement, compensation and benefits programs, career planning and employee development.
  • Administer benefits policies and programs for various countries including Canada, USA, UK and HK to ensure appropriate cost management, compliance and employee engagement.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to country benefits programs during annual reviews.
  • Provide responsive employee relations support and HR advice to employees and management.
  • Process HR documentation including offer letters, onboarding documents, contractual agreements, employment confirmation letters, etc.
  • Support the performance management process, including facilitating employee review meetings and tracking employee performance.
  • Facilitate New Employee Orientation (“NEO”) and onboarding activities
  • Conduct and create recommendations based on qualitative data collected from employees (exit interviews, engagement surveys, upward feedback and focus groups etc.).
  • Identify opportunities for improving, developing and retaining talent.
  • Assist with global compensation programs to ensure market competitiveness.
  • Recommend and ensure compliance of company policies and procedures.
  • Partner with local “HR” teams and local management to develop human resources plans for the country offices.
  • Analyze and create reports based on HR metrics on a weekly, monthly and ad-hoc basis, specifically detailing the effectiveness of current HR programs and processes.
  • Provide support for the immigration process, including new hire requirements as well as ongoing visa and PR applications for new and existing employees.
  • Provide support with strategic HR initiatives, including research & recommendation, ownership & participation in the development, implementation and maintenance of initiatives.
  • Assist with ad hoc special projects as required.
WHO YOU ARE
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive human resources management experience in the information technology industry, preferably in open source web development, consulting services, and/or digital agency space.
  • Completion of post-secondary studies, preferably in Human Resources.
  • Good knowledge of HR standards and best practices.
  • Solid working experience in HRIS, ATS or other databases, with advanced skills in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).  Experience implementing a HRIS a strong asset.
  • Proven experience working in a fast paced and/or growth environment.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with internal and external clients, gain credibility, challenge the norm and be viewed as a trusted advisor.
  • Knowledge of Canada, USA, Brazil, or Hong Kong employment  laws and regulations as asset.
  • Hands on experience with Canadian work visa/permit applications an asset.
  • Keen attention-to-detail with strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
  • Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.
  • Self-motivated professional who thrives on minimal direction and possesses a positive “get stuff done” attitude.
