Reporting to the SVP Global Sales and Marketing, the Group Account Director of Life Sciences is responsible for the development and maintenance of Appnovation’s Life Sciences business by developing and executing Appnovation business strategies and plans, assisting and enabling revenue growth while possessing the ability to orchestrate large, complex and/or strategic Life Sciences industry open technology transformations.
The role consists of both market development and delivery mandates. On the delivery side, this role will have external visibility; work at higher levels within the client organization, and have greater cross-functional impact within Appnovation.  On the market development side, this position will help to grow Appnovation’s Life Sciences customer portfolio and maintain long-term relationships with Appnovation’s Life Sciences customers who work with us as their trusted advisor. Please also note that this role can be based outside of Vancouver, BC.
  • Work with the executives of our Life Sciences customers to define the strategy for open digital transformation.
  • Deliver expert advice and consulting to drive digital transformation projects to a success.
  • Own revenue and growth targets for Appnovation’s Life Sciences practice.
  • Establish Appnovation as a consultative partner at leading Life Sciences institutions in order to gain and maintain industry recognition.
  • Manage Appnovation’s life science accounts.
  • Work with the delivery team to drive long term success.
  • Represent Appnovation on it’s Life Sciences Advisory Board.

  • Well connected and have deep network in the Life Sciences industry.
  • Strong experience in customer management or client services at a digital agency or tech services company.
  • Familiar with Agile/Scrum.
  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
  • Have managing, consulting, and client negotiating experience.
  • Superior written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Organized with the ability to multi-task and to both finish short-term projects and able to manage ongoing long-term ones.
  • Prior experience to assist in closing Life Sciences sales deals at the executive level a plus.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial and rapid growth environment.
  • Driven and have a can-do attitude.
  • Eager to learn, adapt and perfect your work.
  • Flexible day-to-day schedule and openness for travelling.
